Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of SpecWise, a tool that improves prompts and turns app ideas into app specs using AI models. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.
Your account
You need an account to generate app specs. Keep your sign-in secure and give accurate information. You are responsible for activity on your account.
Free trial
A new account gets a 7-day trial with 25 credits and access to every model, with no card required. Unused trial credits expire when the trial ends. We may limit or end trials where we see abuse, such as repeated sign-ups.
Credits
App specs cost credits, depending on the model: Fast 1, Balanced 3, Strongest 6. Paid plans include a monthly credit allowance that refills on the 1st of each month (UTC). Unused credits do not roll over, have no cash value and cannot be transferred. If a generation fails or comes back empty or cut off, the credits are returned.
Model costs change over time. We may change how many credits a model costs, and the models behind each name, with notice on the pricing page. Changes will not take away a credit allowance you have already paid for in the current billing period.
Subscriptions
Starter and Pro renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Manage billing and keep access until the end of the paid period. Payments are handled by Stripe. See our refund policy.
Lifetime plan
The lifetime plan is a one-time payment for the Starter plan for the lifetime of the product, limited to 200 founding seats. "Lifetime" means as long as SpecWise is operated, not your lifetime. If we shut the service down we will give at least 60 days notice. A lifetime plan is personal, is not transferable, and ends if the purchase is refunded or charged back.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to break the law, to generate content that harms others, to attack or overload the service, to resell access, or to get around limits (including by creating multiple accounts for extra trials).
Your content and the output
You own the prompts and ideas you submit, and you may use the output however you like. Outputs are generated by AI, so they can be wrong, incomplete or similar to other outputs. Check them before relying on them. You are responsible for how you use them.
You give us permission to process your input to produce the output. We only keep your input and output for improving the product if you tick the consent box. See the privacy policy.
No warranty and limits of liability
The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, and may be unavailable or change at any time. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Changes and contact
